“A step in the right direction”

High Schools

We are fortunate to partner with seven of the most prestigious college preparatory high schools in the Dallas area. Participating high schools are Bishop Lynch High School, The Episcopal School of Dallas, The Canterbury Episcopal School, The Hockaday School, Bishop Dunne Catholic School, Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas, and Ursuline Academy of Dallas. Each high school provides student mentors to the Mentor Program and a host campus for the academic sections.

Bishop Lynch High School
Bishop Lynch High School has been partner to the STAIRS Program since 2011. It is a coeducational Catholic school that is located in East Dallas. First opened in 1963, Bishop Lynch now serves over 1,000 students in grades 9-12.

The Episcopal School of Dallas
The Episcopal School of Dallas is a coeducational Episcopal school located in North Dallas. It educates children beginning at three years old through 12th grade. Like all of our other participating high schools, ESD places importance on development in areas beyond the classroom, such as chapel, community service, and athletics.

The Canterbury Episcopal School
The Canterbury Episcopal School, along with Bishop Dunne, is one of our most recent partners. It is a coeducational Episcopal school located in DeSoto, Texas. The school's rigorous curriculum is grounded in the humanities, arts, sciences, and foreign languages, supplemented by faith-based programs designed to increase students' moral awareness.

The Hockaday School
Also located in North Dallas, Hockaday is an all-girls' school with students in grades Pre-K through 12th. Hockaday, unlike any other independent or any school in North Dallas is both a day and a boarding school. Like our other participating high schools, Hockaday provides a challenging college preparatory curriculum.

Bishop Dunne Catholic School
One of our newest partner schools, Bishop Dunne is a co-educational Catholic institution serving grades 6th - 12th. Originally founded in 1901 as Our Lady of Good Counsel, it is located in the historic Oak Cliff area of South Dallas. Bishop Dunne's faith-based community encourages its students to explore, inquire, lead, and serve.

Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas
Jesuit, in addition to Greenhill, was one of the first high schools to be a part of STAIRS. It is located in North Dallas on Inwood Road near the intersection of the Dallas North Tollway. Jesuit is a 9th through 12th grade school for boys. It was founded as a private Catholic institution and today educates about 1,000 students.

Ursuline Academy of Dallas
Ursuline is an independent Catholic high school for girls located on Walnut Hill Road near Inwood Road. It serves about 800 young women in grades 9-12. Founded in 1874, Ursuline is the oldest school in the city of Dallas, giving it a rich history and an abundance of tradition.
