STAIRS classes primarily focus on three academic areas: English, Math, and Study Skills. Our curriculum focuses on enhancing STAIRS students' cognitive and social development. Our curriculum focuses on preparing students for the independent school entrance exam (ISEE). Our instructors work with students to advance their English, math, and overall test taking skills.
After our Saturday classroom sessions, students participate in recreational activities known as Stepping Out, ranging from field trips to community service. The goal of Stepping Out is to provide our students with a variety of experiences beyond the classroom and to build students' social skills.
STAIRS provides resources and assistance for students during their application process to college-preparatory schools. In the fall, students practice their interview skills and go on school tours to learn more about our seven partner schools. Additionally, parents are invited to pre-session meetings to learn more about admissions and ask specific questions.
